Software development

Software built around the way you work.

Devgenome develops software for businesses. We start from how the work is done today, what gets in the way, and what needs to change.

Illustration: a stream of events is placed in order, one at a time, onto a stack of records held along a central spine.

A good fit if

  • your team copies the same information between systems by hand
  • key parts of the business run on spreadsheets that have become hard to trust
  • a process you rely on needs a tool that doesn't exist yet

Starting from the work

Good software fits the job it's for. So the first questions are about the work itself: who does it, what information they need, and where the time goes today.

How a build is agreed

If the work goes ahead, the scope, deliverables and timelines are set out in a proposal or statement of work, as our Terms of Service explain.

Connected to the rest

New software rarely works alone. Integrations connect it to the tools you already use, and monitoring helps show when something needs attention.

Questions

Who owns the software you build for us?

Ownership is set out in your agreement. Unless agreed otherwise, bespoke work transfers to you on full payment, and our own pre-existing tools and know-how stay with us, as our Terms of Service explain.

How long does a build take?

It depends on the scope. The timelines for your project are set out in its proposal or statement of work.

Do we need a detailed specification first?

No. A description of the problem, or of how the work is done today, is enough to start. Working out the detail is part of the conversation.

Tell us what you need built.

Describe the job in a few lines. We'll contact you to discuss the next steps.
