1. Who we are
Developer Genome Ltd, trading as Devgenome ("Devgenome", "we", "us"), is the data controller for personal data processed through this website and our engagements. We are registered in England & Wales (Company No. 12990573), with a registered office at 71‑75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. You can reach us at contact@devgenome.com.
2. Data we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to enquiries and deliver our services:
- Contact details you provide through forms or email — name, work email, company, and the contents of your message.
- Engagement data exchanged while delivering a project, as set out in the relevant agreement.
- Technical data such as IP address and basic request information, processed transiently by our hosting infrastructure's standard server logs.
3. Lawful bases
We process personal data under the UK GDPR on the following bases: legitimate interests (responding to enquiries and running our business), contract (delivering services you have engaged us for), consent (non-essential cookies, where applicable), and legal obligation (where the law requires it).
4. How we use and share data
We use personal data to respond to you, deliver and improve our services, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations. We do not sell personal data. We share it only with processors who help us operate (for example hosting and email providers) under appropriate contracts, or where required by law.
5. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, to meet legal and regulatory requirements, and to resolve disputes. Retention periods vary by data type and are set out in our internal retention schedule.
6. Your rights
Subject to UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.
7. Cookies
This site does not currently set cookies. If you use the Motion control, your motion preference is stored locally in your browser and never leaves your device — see our Cookie Policy for details.
