Engagement and deposit terms
DevGenome delivers bespoke engineering services under a statement of work or proposal. Engagements typically begin with a deposit or initial milestone payment, as set out in that agreement. Because the work is custom and time-based, fees reflect work already performed.
What is refundable, and when
- Before work begins: a deposit is refundable, less any costs already incurred on your behalf, if you cancel before we start.
- After work begins: fees for services performed up to the cancellation date are non-refundable. Any unused, pre-paid balance for work not yet performed is refundable.
- Fixed-scope milestones: completed and accepted milestones are non-refundable; milestones not yet started follow the rule above.
How to request a refund
Email contact@devgenome.com with your engagement reference and the reason for the request. We will review against the relevant agreement and respond with a decision and any applicable amount.
Timelines
We aim to acknowledge refund requests within five business days and to process approved refunds to the original payment method within a further ten business days, unless the agreement states otherwise.
